First, check if it’s just your property
If neighbours still have power, the fault is inside your home — not a network issue.
Reset a tripped breaker once
If it trips again immediately, stop resetting it — repeated resets with a live fault can be dangerous.
Call immediately if you notice:
- Burning smell or scorch marks
- Sparking sockets or switches
- Buzzing from the consumer unit
- Hot socket faceplates
- Exposed wiring
